Moody’s Wines was founded in 1902 in Birkenhead, Merseyside England, by Edward Moody, my great grand-father. When he died in 1908, my grandfather, Percy, came back from Canada to take over the business. He ran it successfully, extending it to 14 branches, before selling it to Bents Brewery in 1956. My father worked for his father on returning from wartime service with the RAF. The company remained in abeyance until I started it up again, as this vineyard Moody’s Wines in Orange in 1998.
