History

1908moodyssmall

Moody’s Wines was founded in 1902 in Birkenhead, Merseyside England, by Edward Moody, my great grand-father. When he died in 1908, my grandfather, Percy, came back from Canada to take over the business. He ran it successfully, extending it to 14 branches, before selling it to Bents Brewery in 1956. My father worked for his father on returning from wartime service with the RAF. The company remained in abeyance until I started it up again, as this vineyard in Orange in 1998.

Wow what a great photograph! I never knew Moody’s had so much history.
Loving the site Tony and hopefully I shall return to Moody’s Vineyard soon to taste some more of your lovely wines.
